The watchdogs need to redirect their fire

What is the problem here. Now it's not as bad as I may make this out to be but I just don't get it. Here is the story. A media watchdog group along with the Parents Television Council have voiced their concern over the video game "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," and want it recalled because of a game modification dubbed "hot coffee" which allows gamers to engage in sexual activities. How about go after the hackers who created this modification and shut them down. The makers of the game did not intentionally make that part of the game. The game is already rated "M" so parents shouldn't be buying the game for their children in the first place. Besides, this added feature isn't available in an unmodified game, so again go after those who created the modification and make it unavailable. You can't stop the sex by recalling the game. It's not in the original game so what's the point.

I may have missed this wave of controversy but what about the game "Fable?" I found out a couple of months ago how to have sex with my wives. There isn't anything graphic but you can hear it, though it's a big let down. Oh and don't let the conservatives know, but *whishper*you can be a homosexual and *yell this really loud*engage in the lewd acts of sodomy and have your character sent straight to hell and burn for all eternity. I was kidding about the sending your character to hell. That doesn't happen. And I'm sure if I searched, there was probably some screaming about "Fable' as well. The gaming industry is really pushing the envelope and I'm not convinced that sex belongs in video games. If I want to watch sex then I'll go endulge in porn. But I have to admit, it was kind of fun to see how many times my character could have sex even when he was old and wrinkly. He was such a hero. Heck the game even encouraged the sex by keeping track of the number of times you had sex.

I may side with curbing the sale of violent video games to minors but I havent' made up my mind on that issue. But I really don't agree with trying to get a company to recall their product simply because someone out there modified his game and made it available over the internet. It seems these watchdogs need to redirect their fire and focus on those who started this controversy.
